Uninterrupted Flow Part 2

In the non dualistic philosophy that I study we are asked to let go of labeling what we consider a good flow and a bad flow of things. Instead we are asked to look into why it is flowing the way it is, what insights can we take from it and how we are going to act or respond to the current flow of things.

For me this is a very helpful thing to remember specially when I am going through something challenging. Otherwise I tend to wallow in the situation and feel stuck. There is no flow. One of the things that helps me to deal with the physical challenges that I encounter in my practice is to remember that there is just a flow of whatever is going on. There is no point in labeling myself this or that because of it. I realize it is more important to learn to use my body again the way it is now and discover how I am going to do what I need to do.

Remembering this takes a lot of things out of the equation that diminish or weaken effort and cloud discernment. It also makes for a much more enjoyable yoga practice experience.

I look forward to seeing you in class.
