Self Care

I like to know what astrology has to say every now and then. Specially around significant astrological events. This Tuesday September 17th we have the beginning of eclipse season with a lunar eclipse in Pices. What I am reading from the astrologer that I follow has hit very close to how I have been feeling lately. This is a time to practice self care and learn to take things and ourselves gently. It is important for everyone to take the time to care for ourselves and slow down whenever we need to.

This period is also propitious to review what our dreams, intentions, and goals are. This kind of reflection can help us to see what we are doing that is getting in the way of bringing all these dreams to fruition. I remember how in yoga philosophy it is said that whatever we put our awareness on will flourish. A lot of the practices that we do in yoga teach us how to direct awareness clearly and with focus. When we are able to do this we get closer to achieving what we want to achieve in our life.

In order to practice taking gentle care of ourselves we are going to be focusing on ... śavāsana. I am pretty sure that there are a lot of you that will like the focus on this particular pose. We are going to take extra time to explore relaxing in śavāsana more than we usually do.

I look forward to seeing you in class

Blessings
