Pulsation
I was in Central Park for a drone light show this weekend. There were about a thousand drones lit in a light purple color flying over The Lake. They were all flying in a formation inspired by a murmuration. It was a beautiful sight.
I have been a little busy getting ready for my sister's visit so I have not had much time to study more about jñāna, knowledge. Last week I mentioned how knowledge comes from observation which is something I have been doing. It has been good to get a better insight about what my patterns are as I go about daily life.
In yoga practice one of the main patterns that I weave in everything we do in every class is a sense of pulsation. There is the inhalation and exhalation. There is the balancing of opposing movements and actions in every pose. There is the contraction and stretching of muscles. There is the change of locations we find ourselves in at different times; sometimes we are up sometimes we are down, sometimes on the right side other times on the left. There is the active part of the practice and there is śavāsana
This pulsation is something that yogis saw everywhere. We will be paying attention to this pulsation this week as a way to be more in alignment with this pattern that is in everything.
Look forward to see you class
