Prāṇa

Prāṇa is  a Sanskrit word that translates to "vital energy" or "life force" in English. It is connected to the breath which is how we usually experience it. Prāṇa as the breath is the place where the mind and the body meet and interact. This interaction happens all the time whether we realize it or not.

I invite you to do a little experiment on yourself. At any time of the day pause for a few seconds to check what is your pattern of breathing in that moment,  what is your state of mind, and how does your body feel. This is easier to check during times that have some degree of intensity whether positive or negative.

We will be exploring how to use the Prāṇa through the breath to befriend the mind and the body in our yoga practice this week.

I look forward to seeing you in class.

In the meantime,

Breathe easy

Blessings
