Happy lunar New Year!
Yesterday, Saturday February 10th, we started a new Lunar year. So Happy Lunar New Year to you all!!! The Chinese tradition which follows the lunar calendar establishes that this year is the year of the wooden Dragon. Everything that I am reading regarding the symbolism related to this year is about growth, strength, prosperity, good luck, and taking care of each other.
The last time it was the year of the dragon was on 2012 which is the year I moved to New York City. That time was certainly a time of growth for me in so many ways. I looked at the last twelve years and it has been a great period in my life with all its ups and downs. Life is certainly an adventure for all of us. An adventure that we know very little about. We just have to put one foot in front of the other to allow for the unfoldment of everything that is to come.
As we cross another threshold into this new year, let's aspire to grow, prosper, fortify our strength, and foster a genuine care for one another. I also want to invite you to look at 2012 and the last twelve years so you can recognize what your journey has been. I would love it if you could sent me a message to share with me what it has been like for you. I would love to hear your stories.
I look forward to seeing you in class.
Blessings
